New Year 2011

Dawn of a new year (almost)

January went by without any real progress.  LOTS of new problems and issues but no real progress. We currently have snow and cold and oh yes more snow!

Marianne had to goto Calgary at the start of the year and deal with the deal there going BAD! What should have been, is no longer. Someone cannot keep their word, and nothing pisses me off more than someone who shows that their word is worthless.

I grew up with a firm rule: that you are only as good as your word, so your word had better be worth more than anything.

People who's word is worthless only show me their worth, and I have no more nice things to say about them.
Needless to say this has just cost us here, almost quite literally, the farm. It also is showing that people who you think you can trust are not trustworthy. My faith in humans as once again been restored to its brilliant luster. (yes I am being sarcastic!)

On the plus side we now have someone who SHOULD be able to use the house to help people out, as we had intended in the beginning!

Anyone want some snow I can sell it to you really cheap! That is all about it for January... Oh great It is snowing again!

Winter 2010 October through December

Well 2010 is drawing to a close here at the inverted cow house, we are backed up in snow!

The weather guys say prepare for floods, and we are hit with some fun from our house in Calgary. It looks like it is going to get nasty!

We did the Christmas thing and visited the wife's family.

Right about now I am wishing I was a bear and could hibernate for the winter. But if this little guy is toughing it out so can I!

The boy had a bit of fun with his Ski doo getting out of control and flattened our well head. Guess I just gained another spring time project.

Speaking of the boy, we had an idea to use some of the old farm equipment left from his grandpa and we are hoping to set up a bit of a firewood operation this summer, will keep you posted on how that all goes.
