October Back at the ol grind

Well the last couple of weeks have been interesting. We got back from Calgary, (read the post entitled "there and back again a.... Wait a minute here!") and since then we have been busy attempting to get resettled and prepared for winter. I am attempting to cut 14 to 20 chord of wood, in about 3 weeks. Marianne bought me a new chainsaw. She thought she was being helpful but she neglected to do any research on the saw in question. Unfortunately Hitachi is made in China, which means it is made to wear out in a month and has the power to carve a small twig. She tried to be helpful but this saw is pitiful I need something that is powered by a big block Chevy, this thing is powered by a small model airplane motor. It works, but if it survives the winter stockpiling, I will be astounded.
Look out mold Here comes Marianne!

Marianne also decided to attack the mold and air quality issues we have in the house. She started PAINTING, We found a can of nice dark teal and that went on the one wall but we bought a couple of cans of high gloss oil based floor paint. She had it tinted a medium green, it looks nice, and the high gloss shows the faux wood grain in the wallboards. The effect was unexpected but is actually nicer than the wall was before. She has some bright yellow that she is planning on using on the cupboards but we had to take a break in the painting as the smell was very strong.

I finally got all the required hoops jumped through for the school bus driving work. Now if I could only see some work. Marianne is starting to work on her AA group out here, she wants to start one here in Ashern. It is fun watching her projects form and take shape. I hope this one actually survives the first trials. All  in all it was a busy but uneventful couple of weeks.

Midnight Sitting outside the
living room window playing Supervisor
Mitza found a warm spot to curl up in

This guy just popped in to say 'hey'
on his way south for the winter.
Oh look it is raining again too.... (Sigh)

At least with the rain I
get a picture of the rainbow
or two
