The deer on the other hand seem to have made my garden a part of their nightly stroll. They stop in at the salad bowl here that I am attempting to grow. Graze a bit, tromp a touch and move on. The only problem is This is MY garden! It is supposed to be my salad bowl! I am afraid that there may be a deer or two who will have to meet with an untimely demise!
Speaking of annoying pests, Kyle has entered a phase in his adolescence where he thinks he is better than every adult out there. The problem with this is he insulted both myself and my wife. He and his friends have been using facebook to harass some of my friends and family,(sending out messages claiming to be from the government or law enforcement agencies that sort of thing). I have not yet managed to catch him at it or to get conclusive proof, because if I did he would be getting actual calls from the same said individuals or agencies. But at the same time I have had to block him and his friends off of facebook. That stinks, but either I did that, or let the little bugger piss me off to the point that I had to remind him how us old street punks deal with KIDS! I went through the same phase when I was his age but by then I was already living on the streets of Calgary. And we DID NOT have the young offenders act back then. No mollycoddling halfassed punishments like the judges mett out now. Street justice was much harsher than anything they do out here.
Ok I have to take 5 to calm down!

This weekend we went out to have dinner with The Folks. We all went to a place called Oak Hammock Marsh. It was interesting and fun to visit with the nieces(?) (who said I am now Uncle Art?!!!) again. We put the yard sale off for another weekend, but next weekend we have to get it up and running!

Speaking of the yardsale, I began remodeling the old camper into a "clothing store" Marianne is threatening to start stocking the shelves and racks as soon as she can. Every week this place looks better and better for the yardsale. Now if we could only have it open for more than a couple of days in a row we might start to work something out. (sorry but I have no pictures available of the 'camper clothing store' yet, perhaps next entry)
Last thoughts,
The swallows, who have worked so diligently to build their nest on the side of my house met with a disappointment today when the nest came unglued from the wall. I was able to round them all up and built a bit of a sun shade for the babies. They should be alright as long as no critters come and get into them before they can fly fully.

LOVE the bird pics and your concern for them (the softer, gentler side of Art).
